ActiveSync vs "Save To Pocket PC"
A recent question - "When updating pipelines between Desktop and Pocket Sales Manager, I would find it much easier to have ActiveSync (the Microsoft program that sync a Pocket PC with a PC) perform the synchronization of the pipeline files between the Pocket PC and the Windows PC. I think this could be achieved by from the PC directly working on the pipeline files stored in the folder where ActiveSync keeps the synchronized files on the PC.
Would there be any major problems with working directly on those files from the PC instead of using the “Open >From Pocket PC” and “Save To Pocket PC” commands? To me this seems a much easier way of syncing the pipelines."
Clearly the method described is much more efficient. We included the "Save To Pocket PC" approach to accomodate users who didn't want to set up automatic synchronization on their Pocket PC/personal computer connection.
