Contacts?

I have several thousand contacts I want to import. These are not qualified "sales opportunities" - more like a mailing list. Any suggestions?

I'm lead to believe that the next release will handle Contacts. Not sure of the time frame, but several of the screenshots on this site are already showing contacts...so it can't be that far away...
